To support the mental well-being of new mothers, the Proya Foundation launched the "Love for Moms” initiative in May 2025 at the Sandun Town Community Health Service Center, offering services for women during pregnancy and the first postpartum year and their families.
On the afternoon of May 23, a heartwarming prenatal yoga public class was held in the center's health education room. Guided by calming music and an experienced instructor, the expectant mothers gradually released anxiety, stretched their bodies, and shared a moment of breath and harmony with their unborn babies.
After deep relaxation, participants actively exchanged their experiences, and sought advice on home exercises, optimal sleep positions during pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. One expectant mother even suggested involving new fathers to join future sessions.
This prenatal yoga class marks only the beginning. The "Love for Moms" initiative will continue to be carried out at the center, offering new parents a wide range of public welfare services, from mental and physical wellness to parenting skills and family relationship support. The program also plans to gradually build a peer-support network to help each new mother discover her strength, grace, and optimism on the journey into parenthood.
